BK House Wedding: Tori and Patrick

A French Quarter Love Story

Tori and Patrick’s wedding day was everything a New Orleans wedding should be, sunshine, gorgeous venues, live music, and pure joy from start to finish. They married at St. Mary’s Church beside the Old Ursuline Convent, celebrated in the courtyard at BK House with the Nola Dukes Band playing live, and ended the night with the KinFolk Brass Band leading a secondline through the French Quarter. A perfect day in the perfect city.

A fun morning with friends

Tori and Patrick spent the morning surrounded by their closest friends, getting ready in the heart of the French Quarter just steps away from the BK House. The city was in full form, shining sun, a gentle breeze off the river, the kind of New Orleans day that feels made just for you. Blues and whites filled every corner, from the florals by Crystal Vase to the bridesmaid dresses that caught the light just right.

The First Look: The BK House Gardens

They chose to see each other before the ceremony in the lush gardens at BK House, and it was private and unhurried. The gardens gave them a bit of New Orleans magic: dappled light through the trees, the hum of the city just beyond the walls. After their first look, family portraits unfolded naturally in the same gorgeous setting.

After family photos at BK House, Tori and Patrick slipped across the street to the Old Ursuline Convent, the oldest surviving building in the Mississippi River Valley. We took advantage of the golden hour to take a few photos as the sun slowly dropped behind the rooftops of the French Quarter.

THE CEREMONY

St. Mary’s Church

They married in St. Mary’s Church, a jewel nestled beside the historic Old Ursuline Convent, one of the most beautiful Catholic churches in New Orleans. Its soaring interior and warm afternoon light set the perfect stage. Every pew filled with people who had traveled from near and far, every moment felt sacred, joyful, and entirely them.

“The pictures are stunning and we can’t get enough of them. Every time we pull one up we just say “this is art”. I am so grateful I stumbled upon you on Instagram and you all said yes to capturing our wedding.”

Music, Dancing, and a Whole Lot of Love

After the ceremony, Tori, Patrick, and their guests walked across Chartres Street to BK House, where the courtyard glowed in the twilight under festoon lights. After their first dance opened the floor, the Nola Dukes Band never let up and the dancing never stopped.

Secondline through the French Quarter

They ended the night the only way you should end a New Orleans wedding — with a secondline. The KinFolk Brass Band led the way everyone dancing in the streets. It was pure, unfiltered New Orleans joy.
